How ET3 Faregates Prevent Fare Evasion
In ET3, users can no longer bypass the gates by following closely behind someone who has validated a ticket. By default, physical proximity to the gates is restricted. Only the individual who validated the ticket is permitted to pass, and any other players attempting to follow are blocked. In ET v2, it was possible for disruptive players to trigger the door sensor from the opposite side, preventing the ticket-validating user from passing. ET3 resolves this issue by eliminating sensor reliance entirely. Instead, upon ticket validation, the player’s controls are temporarily disabled, and they are moved through the gate automatically. Once they have reached the other side, the doors close, and their controls are restored.
